One of the difficulties in my walk with the Lord is knowing when He is speaking to me. I pray (ask) for insight, and health matters, and family and friends, and all those things we customarily do. I pray (ask) for insight to help me through matters. But how do I know when the Lord is trying to give me what I'm praying for. I was in small group last week with Deacon Bennett 😇. He suggested that I find a quiet place at home and just "be still". Quiet the mind and I will hear Him. I guess I shouldn't expect a crashing voice...but I will know when it happens. NAMASTE

Hello Pam, this is a challenge for all of God's children. But Jesus did say that his sheep knows his voice. I, agree, we have to be still and know that God is always speaking to us through the promised Holy Spirit. Psalm 46:10 does encourages us to be still and know that God is present.
